  1. OK, moving backwards through the show:
The Kristine W song was awesome! You know, she was here in Pgh last December and performed at Spark, the Delta Foundation fundraiser. Thx for playing it. Already added it to my “always on my ipod” playlist.

Why is coffee doing porn reviews? I think he is pretty funny, but these suck (pun not intended). Really there is no value to his reviews at al, but he is entertaining.

G’s therapy session time: Girlfriend, get a grip! You are a youngster compared to some of us, and yes, as you get older, you can wonder what your life adds up to. But the truth is, that no matter what your age, it is never too late to start to do what you want to do. So, just do it. And I think the idea of remixes on line sounds awesome! But I have to tell you, the stuff at the end of the show about having musicians on, and it was too much work to make sure they were coming in, and stuff…. if you want to get famous- be G-G (is that close enough to Ga-Ga?) you are going to have to want to really work! Although the Buddhist in me wants to add that our human suffering is caused by the expectations we hold- like what we should have accomplished in our life for it to have been meaningful. Hell, I’d say if even 1 queer teenager who lives in the middle of rural anywhere, finds your show and gets some hope that there is a life of happiness for queers, you have done more than enough.

FriendFeed and Social Media. I signed on to Friend Feed a long time ago, but it never really seemed to offer me much utility. Between Google Reader and Twitter, I was able to follow folks just fine. There was a podcast (still is, but I don’t think they are actively recording anymore called- I don’t remember what it was called, I deleted it from my iTunes. anyway, they were a bunch of geeks that though Friend Feed was awesome, and were freaking out when Facebook bought Friend Feed.

BTW, I do scroll through on Twitter and Facebook a few times a day and at least scan the headline of what my friends are posting/saying. I don’t read everything, but I do sort of scan. I’m also spending more time on Twitter talking back and forth with specific people. To hold real conversations (albiet 140 characters at a time.) I do that on Facebook too. I was never big on Myspace. I thought it was ugly and juvenile.

I don’t expect to dig into Google Buzz. I’m already busy enough with Twitter and Facebook. Ands no, I don’t think MySpace is going to have a real resurgence. But isn’t Myspace still the choice for Junior High students?

One thing I like about Friend Feed is there are none of those shit games and time wasters, like mob shit and farms , and vampires- the stuff that seems to be eating Facebook alive. But it is too hard to really “use” to communicate with someone, so even though there are no farms and shit, I doubt it’s popularity is going to rise again.

Let me know when your remixes go up- ok G?

  3. S’up fellas, another great show. Gee hope you’re feeling better you seemed to perk up when giving the Gay test! (I failed, I’m straight) but Jen and I loved the presentation. Freindfeed and MySpace are losers for me. Facebook and Twitter are enough for someone with a job etc. How can I follow a comment like the encyclopedia before me…see ya

  4. So my friend Mike Andrews introduced me to your show today. I’m listening to #187 right now and I’m having trouble remaining serious for the rest of the day… and for that…. I thank you!
